After having a scary dream about Freddy Kruger in the dark basement laundry area of the house my family lived in when I was a child, I awoke, an adult, in my car or some other vehicle parked in a dreamworld version of the lot behind that same house. It was apparently morning because it was no longer dark outside, but it looked like it was about to storm.<\/p>\n
The clouds were out and the wind was blowing hard as if there was about to be a tornado, so I walked briskly; okay, I ran; around the fence toward my house, cutting thru the area we used to walk thru to get to and from the corner Liquor store, Simpsons, Coney Island and such. That’s about the time I happened to look up at the sky and see the moon.<\/p>\n
It wasn’t strange that the moon was out. It was morning and the sun was apparently behind the clouds, but there were two of them; two moons in the sky. I knew what I was seeing was supposed to be impossible, so I contemplated the possibility that it had something to do with my eyes; but as I looked around, I didn’t see anything else in sets of twos.<\/p>\n
I looked up again and they were still there, moving around faster than I’ve ever seen; at one point nearly merging into one. That’s when I decided not to look up anymore. It was just too scary. Besides I had to get inside the house before the tornado came, which would’ve been even scarier. The weather was very quickly going from bad to worse.<\/p>\n
When I reached the back door, I wondered if I remembered to bring my keys. I didn’t think I had time to run back to the vehicle, so I was going to hide underneath the porch and hope for the best, but there they were in my back left pocket where I normally keep them when I’m not going far. As I put the key in the lock, a loud thunder jolted me out of the dream.<\/p>\n
