Fact is the laws of physics can’t be manipulated or changed, this points to a lawmaker. The argument is the same for both sides: The secular version of the problem is “If the Big Bang caused everything, what caused the Big Bang?” and The religious version is, “If God caused everything, what caused God?”
Since we as humans have the inherit trait to create things, we mirror the image of a creator and that is why this subject is so controversial because people try to disprove their own nature of instinct and this contradicts what real world evidence science has so they are left trying to disprove the existence of a God. In the same argument relative to both sides comes the thought of a child saying “mom, where did that apple come from?” It is simply knowledge not known to him, what if in theory their was only one apple tree and no one ever found it but a bird carried the apple to this kids view, you wouldn’t know where that apple came from because no one has ever found an apple tree. So what is more likely to be the case of what created the cosmos? Well, a creator which our brains are mirrored to think since something cant come from nothing theoretically or simply nothing created something (which defies the nature of our everyday life and experiences as well as physics). Science will tell you there is no evidence of a God but I think simple logic states otherwise my friends.
Don’t torture him for 8 mins. Tell him from the 1st second what he is looking for so he can get some comfort.
My friend you can ask as many people as you want and convince them to follow you. However still you will not find the comfort you need.
Often they who say that are atheists spend a lot a lot of time talking about God, maybe they get some comfort.
Definitely it is too much effort for something you say “does not exist”.
