Why do you talk black???
A3Kr0n :
I don’t know about gays speaking in high pitch voices, but I can tell you’re Black just by listening to you. What’s up with that? Why is it hard for Black people to say “ask”? It usually sounds like “axe”. Oh well. All good questions.
You assume a lot, eg, that it’s a deliberate choice or a conscious attempt to try and play a role, and that the speaker has a ‘normal’ manner alongside their ‘gay’ voice and mannerisms. You’ll get a better answer by winding back a bit, beyond those assumptions.
A gay guy made a documentary about this. Check out Do I Sound Gay? It might be on Amazon Prime (it definitely is in the UK, cos I’m watching it right now).
You need to look into Dr. Debra Soh’s opinion regarding “feminine acting” as you were describing it. Very interesting.
There’s google, where you can usually find the answer you’re looking for: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay_male_speech
