Celsius Heat : Inferno Punch

Celsius Heat : Inferno Punch

Comparing this drink to an Inferno is a bit ironic considering it tastes like fruit Punch doused with carbonated water. The flavor is more of a side note though. The concept here is all about “performance”. There’s even a symbol of a man running on the front of the can.

It’s an “energy drink for the fitness enthusiasts who want to take it to the next degree”, it reads. At a stunning 300 milligrams of caffeine per serving, you’ll be doing just that, though, with the exception of sucralose, the ingredients list looks impressively healthy.

3D Energy Drink : Liberty Pop

3D Energy Drink : Liberty Pop

This Energy Drink is marketed as “A cyclone of deliciousness.” That’s a silly exaggeration; what wind storms have to do with patriotism is beyond me; but it’s certainly not bad. The taste reminds me of… I don’t know; one of those American sodas.

3D Energy Drink : Grape

3D Energy Drink : Grape

Grape is one of my favorite artificial flavors and, though that’s especially the case when it comes to candy; I love purple Skittles; beverages are no exception. That makes this Energy Drink one of the best 3D variations, which means little as they’re all inherently flawed by the fact that they’re carbonated thus mildly painful to consume.

video review : The Pepsi Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show

video review : The Pepsi Super Bowl 56 Halftime Show

Snoop Dogg is the highlight here and that’s not a weed pun. In a Halftime Show full of stilted performances; Mary J Blige, who isn’t a protégé of Dr Dre and shouldn’t have been included, goes way over the top; he easily comes across as the most authentic and likeable. Watching him Crip walk to California Love, you’d think he was entertaining guests at a backyard barbeque; not on stage in front of the biggest viewing audience in America.

50 Cent is comparatively stiff, but he at least has sexy groupies In Da Club with him. The logic of giving three fat chicks a stage to themselves is lost on me. Not that the show, which is a bit of a mess, makes a lot of sense in the first place. Eminem is big enough to headline The Super Bowl on his own. His appearance here to perform his most obvious hit comes across as both anticlimactic and corny. Still he’s not as annoying as Kendrick Lamar. Few rappers are.

audio review : Poor Georgie ( song ) … MC Lyte

“If you love someone, you should say it often,” MC Lyte advises, “You’ll never know when they’ll be laying in a coffin.” Awkward grammar aside, it’s a poignant message and the lesson of this story about a guy she met one night at a (dance) club.

There are “kiss/cry” breaks; the Motown hit bits, while random in their inclusion, also add a nice touch; but no chorus. It’s the lonely guitar loop; the whole song is based on Toto’s Georgy Porgy; that keeps you hooked till the tragic end.
