Has the world Gone Wrong? Lucinda Williams apparently thinks so, but she should be more concerned about righting her music. The decrepit voice can be forgiven; it fits the old-timey genres she embraces; but these songs leave a lot to be desired in the way of vocal melody. It’s odd to feature Brittney Spencer on the first two, but the guest singers at least add some harmony to the blandness.
