Monster Energy : Ultra Blue

Monster Energy : Ultra Blue

The “flavor profile” of this Monster Energy drink is listed as “light citrus and berry”, but it’s the latter that stands out. The taste is, as the name suggests, akin to Blueberries, which typically grow in the summer and spring. The concept, in contrast, has more to do with winter “snow trips” to “mountain towns” like Aspen and Chamonix.

audio review : Purple Rain ( album ) … Prince And The Revolution

audio review : Purple Rain ( album ) ... Prince And The Revolution

This album includes songs from Prince’s Purple Rain movie of which he “are” A Star; a chick-chasing rock star, that is, who isn’t ashamed to wear high heels, sing in gay falsettos and yell his little heart out. “Baby baby baby baby,” he screams maniacally to a girl; one of The Beautiful Ones; “I want you!” It’s one of the set’s most dazzling highlights.

Dramatic vocals over airy guitar/keyboard melodies and funky drums; the Revolution bit refers to his backing band; is the rule here. That’s if this (Crazy) show has any rules at all. Other notable songs include Darling Nikki; a sex fantasy about a horny rich girl who likes to “grind”; a sizzler entitled I Would Die 4 U and the epic title closer.

video review : Robin's Wish

I don’t think Robin Williams, despite being a comedy icon, was funny in the least, so the worst parts of this documentary for me are the career highlights; clips from his shows, movies and interviews. It gets interesting when it delves into the details of the underlining theme; the Lewy body dementia that ultimately led to his suicide; via anecdotal accounts from his wife and friends.

audio review : Tha Doggfather ( album ) ... Snoop Dogg

This; Snoop’s second album; is bound to be compared to his Doggystyle debut. The cover photo; the rapper wearing and surrounded by black; also brings to mind 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me. It isn’t up for either challenge; Tha (Dreless) Doggfather is actually the weakest Death Row release so far; but it does include a few bangers and Bouncers.
