Miss K :
Emotions are the brain’s response to stimuli in our environment. If I am hurt by someone or something, I will probably respond with sadness or anger. If something wonderful happens, I respond with happiness.
Our emotions have evolutionary significance because they help us survive as social creatures. When someone’s emotions do not line up with what we tend to expect, we become suspicious of them. Those that do not respond appropriately risk not being able to pass on their genetic information to the next generation. So showing emotions allows us to connect with other people and increase our chances of reproducing.
Not really that hard to explain the purpose of emotions and how they come about within our brains.
Brainwashing and indoctrination
