Park Inn Body Wash

Park Inn Body Wash

This small tube of Body Wash, which you can find not in retail stores but Radisson Hotel bathrooms, is notable for its simplicity. It’s made with “aloe barbadensis leaf extract”, a fancy way of saying aloe vera gel, and there are no paraben mineral oils or strong (headache-inducing) fragrances. It also produces a nice rich lather.

video review : Carlito’s Way

video review : Carlito's Way

This is the tale of a lifelong gangster trying to go straight. Released early from a 30-year prison sentence on a technicality, former drug lord Carlito Brigante returns to the free world a new man. The plan, his dream, is to take part in a legit car rental business with a friend, but of course life doesn’t always go according to plan.

Some of the characterization goes overboard; David Kleinfeld, Brigante’s best friend and lawyer, is particularly caricatural; but the plot is generally riveting. Even the sappy romantic subplot is handled with care. The one major flaw, in fact, is that the movie commits the crime of telling you how the story will end before it begins.

Lucky Luciano :

The way it shows the ending first is not uncommon in gangster movies, but in this case it doesn’t seem to do anything but leave a feeling of doom and tradgedy throughout the film. Which is fine, but it probably would have been more effective if that tradgedy came unexpected. Also, the overbearing love story sometimes gets in the way. Despite these shortcomings, it’s still a movie worth recommending for the performances and storytelling. If you want a film about a reformed man who can’t escape his past, this is it.

Outshine Fruit Bars [ No Sugar Added ] : Strawberry

Outshine Fruit Bars [ No Sugar Added ] : Strawberry

When it comes to taste, these Fruit Bars Outshine most others. Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors and, with real strawberries as the main ingredient after water, these are as strawberry as it gets.

Sorbitol; there’s No Sugar Added; helps make them exceptionally delicious. Their one big flaw is an inherent one; that they’re too damn cold, at least as far as my teeth are concerned, to fully enjoy.

Rebel Ice Cream : Peanut Butter Fudge

Rebel Ice Cream : Peanut Butter Fudge

“For the creamiest ice cream,” the lid says, “let your pint soften for at least 15 minutes.” You’d do better melting it down over the stove, but, due to the absence of real milk, which makes it “lactose free”, it hardly melts. That’s a minor flaw for those of us who like our ice cream partially liquified.

The taste is smooth and creamy; cream is the main ingredient; but it doesn’t really taste like Peanut Butter. The flavor is more coffee Fudge to my buds, though there’s no coffee in it. There’s no sugar neither, which helps make the Rebel brand one of the healthiest ice creams on (in) the market.

Jar Joy Strawberry Cheesecake

Jar Joy Strawberry Cheesecake

Well, I can’t accuse them of false advertising. It comes in a Jar and I certainly enJoyed eating it. It’s hard to go wrong with Strawberry Cheesecake and this gimmicky “single serving”; a mere 3.7 ounces; is no exception.

I’d prefer more cream cheese instead of the bottom layer of graham cracker crumbs, but’s it’s a sweet treat on the whole. It’s not only “made from scratch” but “Florida made” and “hand packed” for whatever any of that’s worth.

Best Choice Premium Ice Cream : Scooped Crusader

Best Choice Premium Ice Cream : Scooped Crusader

It wasn’t the Best Choice to call this Scooped Crusader because the Caped Crusader moniker is Batman and this is Superman ice cream. It’s not just the colors. The blue is actually Blue Moon; the main flavor of the original Superman ice cream created in Michigan many moons ago.

The red is cherry and the yellow is lemon, but the latter should’ve been swapped with vanilla as included in some versions; the best versions; of the ice cream. Still it’s a fun eat that not only looks but also sort of tastes like some kind of weird Crayola childhood fantasy dinner.

audio review : I’m A Mean Ole Lion ( song ) … Ted Ross

This is a song from The Wiz. “Beware,” Ted Ross, playing the role of The Cowardly Lion, warns, “This is the king of the jungle here.” He stretches that last word out to a roar, of course, and those yellow-brick bridges, laced with the royal blare of trumpets, sound magnificent. The rest of the song is also nice.

Serendipity Ice Cream : Selena Gomez’s Cookies And Cream Remix

Serendipity Ice Cream : Selena Gomez's Cookies And Cream Remix

Unfortunately this ice cream, albeit pink, doesn’t taste like Selena Gomez. It’s her “ever-fresh perspective” we get here as it was apparently her idea to blend traditional Cookies And Cream with Moose Tracks fudge swirls.

The color combination is a nod to Blackpink; this hard-serves as a Remix to their Ice Cream song duet; and the taste is a hit. The Cookies to cream ratio is just right and the fudge bits taste like hot chocolate powder clumps.
