audio review : WAWG [ We All We Got ] ( album ) … Tha Dogg Pound

We All We Got would’ve sufficed. The WAWG abbreviation is tacky and redundant. The album makes more sense musically; the Intro is vintage Death Row; though it doesn’t get particularly interesting till “the last record” when Snoop leaves LA for New York City. Who Da Hardest, he asks over a DJ Premier beat. Tha Dogg Pound reply with guests RBX and The Lady Of Rage as you wish the whole album sounded like this.

G Fuel Energy Drink : Power Pellet [ Cherry Lollipop ]

G Fuel Energy Drink : Power Pellet [ Cherry Lollipop ]

This “limited edition” G Fuel Energy Drink is based on Pac-Man, specifically the Power Pellets and Cherries he’s known to devour. The fact that it’s cherry flavored is, of course, fitting, but the Lollipop bit is confusing as the candy has nothing to do with the game. There are 140 milligrams of caffeine per can.

Bang : Cotton Candy

Bang : Cotton Candy

They should’ve just called this one Marshmallow because the flavor is more like marshmallows, albeit the chemical tasting ones you might find in a free Easter basket, than Cotton Candy. That makes for somewhat of a disappointment for those of us expecting a taste of the namesake treat.

Big Game Energy : Peach Passion

Big Game Energy : Peach Passion

I don’t know whose Passion this is, but it certainly isn’t mine. Peach is generally one of my favorite artificial fruit flavors, but this is a major exception. It tastes less like peaches and more like a weird chemical imitation. The flavor is okay at first sip, but it gets worse the more you drink.

Ghost Energy : Orange Cream

Ghost Energy : Orange Cream

This Ghost is based on those Orange Cream bars you probably enjoyed as a kid. It also tastes like one. It’s not as good though because it’s hard, probably impossible, to match the texture of ice cream; the best part; in an Energy drink. The can claims “no artificial flavors”, suspiciously enough, yet it’s listed on the ingredients list.

video review : Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood

Don’t Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice In The Hood; a parody of Menace To Society, South Central, Juice and Boyz N The Hood; is as ridiculous as its title, but that’s the point. It’s more of a ninety-minute In Living Color skit than a real movie, but, unlike most comedies, it’s actually funny most of the time and occasionally hilarious. It helps to have watched the flicks it spoofs to be fully amused.
