audio review : Tha Doggfather ( album ) … Snoop Dogg

audio review : Tha Doggfather ( album ) ... Snoop Dogg

This; Snoop’s second album; is bound to be compared to his Doggystyle debut. The cover photo; the rapper wearing and surrounded by black; also brings to mind 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me. It isn’t up for either challenge; Tha (Dreless) Doggfather is actually the weakest Death Row release so far; but it does include a few bangers and Bouncers.

audio review : 4AM Mulholland | After 4AM ( albums ) … Amerie

audio review : 4AM Mulholland ( album ) ... Amerie audio review : After 4AM ( album ) ... Amerie

This would’ve been better as one full-length album, but at least we get two cover photos of Amerie; she’s nearly 40 but still hot; almost showing her tits. Unfortunately the songs aren’t as risqu茅 as the 4AM theme suggests. It starts with a Curious tease, but the set is more about romantic Love than raunchy sex. Late night highlights include A Heart’s For The Breaking, Give It All Up and the Mulholland title cut.

video review : Wes Craven’s New Nightmare

video review : Wes Craven's New Nightmare

Wes Craven’s New Nightmare claws right thru the cinematic fourth wall to bring Freddy Krueger into real life. That’s done via Heather Langenkamp; the actress who plays Nancy Thompson. She, and her annoying son, are having bad dreams about the man who made her movie career a success. This is a horror flick about the horror flick you’re watching; an innovative epilogue for the franchise.

audio review : a DM Records compilation : Deep House LA [ Volume 3 ]

audio review : a DM Records compilation : Deep House LA [ Volume 3 ]

This third Volume of Deep House LA gets things back on track. Let’s pretend the second one never happened as we groove to the oddly titled Why Didn’t You; easily one of the best songs in the series.

That the album falters from there is less of a concern than the missing six songs, but hey, at least we’re back to artists you never heard outside the Deep House club and vocals limited to short sample snippets.
