video review : RoboCop 2

Not even the crime-ridden city of Detroit, now plagued by a popular street drug called Nuke, needed another RoboCop. The original stood on its own as a sort of modern-day Frankenstein. 2 is a lot less endearing. Nor is the editing and cinematography as slick. The plot continues with OCP and an underlining theme of corporate greed; appropriately enough for a money grab.

a dream I had about bringing a gun to school

I don’t remember what I had to visit my old high or middle school for, but, whatever it was, it seemed to require me to have a locker. I’d gotten a temporary combination from the main office; I remember reading the numbers from a little piece of paper while kneeling at the low locker; after signing in.

It was all legit, meaning I hadn’t snuck in like I’d done in previous dreams and wasn’t worried about going to jail; that is until I realized, with sudden panic, that I had my gun on me. The little pistol I keep in my left pocket was there in my left pocket. I’d apparently forgotten to leave it in the car.

I don’t know whether or not I’d already done what I came to do, but it didn’t matter. My only concern was to leave as quick as possible without being caught. So I locked the locker, which seemed to be on the second floor, and headed downstairs. I tried to walk at a normal pace as to not cause any suspicious.

Though it’s legal to own and carry a gun where I live, there are some exceptions; high schools and middle schools being the most serious among them. I wondered how I’d gotten in pass the metal detectors; maybe they weren’t working; and was quite concerned that I’d trigger one on the way out.

The place was built like my real-life middle school and, after looking around for security guards, I left on what would’ve been the southeast exit near the bottom of the parking lot. With an immediate sense of relief, I turned northwest on the front walkway, blending in with the massive crowd of kids.

I saw Morrell and said something to him about my teacher being absent and having to go to the other side of the building for class. At that point I was telling the truth as the dream went from me visiting what seemed like my old middle school as an adult to actually attending my old high school as a teen.
