Judging from the looks, also the stated height and reach advantage, you might think Megan Anderson would make quick work of Felicia Spencer. Their win/loss records tell a different story.
Anderson lands the first punch, a right-hand cross to the face, but once Spencer takes her back, she isn’t able to get her off. The fight, which is short and sexy, ends with a submission.

I don’t know what Herb Dean was thinking here. He stops the fight after Ladd goes down from a fist to the face; the first strike of the fight; but she wasn’t out. She seemed stunned; a bit slow to reset; but she was still in the fight.
“Aspen Ladd can’t believe the fight was stopped,” Brendan Fitzgerald declares and who could blame her. It’s her first official loss and probably a loss that will forever remain in quotation marks. This isn’t right, but it is what it is.

The Blair Witch Project is indeed “cool”. It’s also clever and creepy. Part 2, directed by Joe Berlinger, is a shitfest. It doesn’t even look like a documentary. It looks like a Hollywood movie with horrid acting and a plot that’s even worse.

The Goonies are reject kids who live for fun and wonder, use “gnarly” as an interjection, scream “Geronimo” down water slides and refer to each other as “guys” a little too much.
These imitation Hardy Boys and girls journey thru caves and taverns rigged with traps and bats, but the scariest bit is a grotesque being who looks like Bert from the back.
Maybe the movie, with its crude plot, idiotic comedy attempts and all, wouldn’t be so bad if the kids, especially the fat one and the Chinese one, weren’t so damn annoying.

A cute girl is the only interesting thing this movie has going for it. She’s a 24-year-old named Asami who falls in love with an older man after auditioning for a video project of his. Things aren’t what they seem in either case.
That’s where the plot goes from a boring romance to an unintelligible thriller. There are a few sadomasochistic shock scenes for your viewing pleasure, but, even with bone-shearing wire at its disposal, the film just doesn’t cut it.

The beat, led by what sounds like a sample of Klaus Voorman’s bass riff from You’re So Vain; the Carly Simon song this Janet Jackson song interpolates; is fire. It’s also hip-hop. That might be why the women decided to rap, which comes across more like spoken word poetry.
To be clear, Carly Simon provides new vocals here; psychotic ramblings are more like it; and she’s pretty annoying, but there’s a part at the end of a bridge in which she brings the song to an aesthetic high. “I’m a storm cloud, baby,” she says, “You can roll like thunder all over me.”
The Vain chorus the subtitle comes from, which serves as the chorus here too, is the worst part, but it’s one of those relatively rare cases in which a song is good even though its chorus isn’t. Aside from the classic Jam/Lewis beat, that’s thanks mostly to Janet Jackson’s sassy singing.

It’s All For me? I don’t know if she’s referring to her album or her body; she’s lying in bed nude on the cover photo; but I’ll take them both. The former is her best yet. Its title track, a sexy party classic, is her best song yet. The latter is, at one point, dripping with honey.
“Ooh Baby,” she murmurs, but making Love is a euphemism. It’s a rainy night and Janet is horny. She wants to get fucked then do the fucking. “I just wanna kiss you, suck you, taste you, ride you,” she demands, “Make you cum too.” This is Janet Jackson porn music and I’m All in.
Props to Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who, with help from Rockwilder, provide the melodic songstress a host of innovative soundscapes. The Son Of A Gun beat is fire, but Carly Simon is almost as annoying as the Interludes, which continue to flaw Janet Jackson’s albums.
I could mention the order of the songs; the album is clumpy with fast dance and slow sex songs during its first half; but that would border on nitpicking. All For You is both praiseworthy and thankworthy. So thank you Janet, Jimmy and Terry. I really appreciate it.

There’s a point a little over an hour in that’s truly scary if only because it takes you by surprise, but this Picture can hardly be categorized as horror. It’s more of a supernatural thriller with strong philosophical and romantic overtones.
Dorian Gray is a rich man; the movie’s production is fittingly grandeur; but it’s his handsome looks that serve as the gist. The story’s two main women fall in love with him, unaware of what becomes his deepest and darkest secret.

Somethin To Ride To would seem a more fitting subtitle in regard to grammar, but the concept is on point. These beats, every one of which reeks with funk, are the highlight. Devin’s laid back vocals merely accommodate. The Rollin Up bit, which works as a double entendre, has to do with how much weed he smokes. The album ends with a reggae joint called The Doobie Drop.

Declaring her “the greatest women’s mixed martial artist of all time”, as Joe Rogan does here, is a ridiculous overstatement, but you have to give Amanda Nunes a lot of credit. She knocks out Cris Cyborg; a fighter I rank above her; in less than a minute; about the same amount of time it took for her to beat “goat”-contender Ronda Rousey.
Rousey is just a tough woman though. Cris Cyborg is, from the looks of it, a virtual man, which, considering modern society’s delusional coddling of so-called transgenders, shouldn’t be regarded as an insult. That makes this Nunes victory all the more impressive, though a rematch could help remove the feeling of flukiness.

This is Paranormal Activity 6, but it seems to ignore the plot of part 5, so you can watch it after 4 and not miss a beat. The year is 2013; these movies are never present day; and the Katie/Kristi sisters are back via old VHS footage, but it’s all in vain.
The Ghost Dimension, which opens to the daughter of a new family, starts decently and gets worse as it goes on. By the end, it’s a mess of bad acting and silly visual effects, the latter of which includes a hole in a wall that looks like a huge gaping anus.

“You don’t have to tell me every time you pick one up,” Eeyore groans to Christopher Robin, who’s been finding acorn shells in the forest. It’s one of the rare times the movie’s constant attempts at being funny actually succeed. The plot, which plays between Robin’s family life and his job as an efficiency expert at a luggage company, is mostly silly.
